Who We Are

The New Jersey State Chapter of the NWTF acts as the liason bewteen local chapters and the National Wild Turkey Federation. All NWTF members in New Jersey are part of us and any member not affiliated with their local chapter can still make a difference by working at the state level. Several members of the Board of Directors of the State Chapter are not active in their local chapter, but are still able to contribute and make a difference.

As the link between National and local chapters, we administer and process requests for Super Fund Grants, work directly with the New Jersey Department of Fish & Wildlife on wild turkey conservation, help to coordinate local chapter's activities, and work with National to promote their agenda.

As the liaison between National and Local chapters, and to honor the many volunteers that make up the NWTF in New Jersey the State Chapter Board initiated an Awards Banquet. This banqet is a fun event that shows off the coming banquet items in addition to awarding the outstanding volunteers of the NWTF. The following link is a summary of our Awards Banquet.

The Board of Directors of the New Jesey State Chapter of the NWTF consists of representatives from each local chapter and from NWTF members at large. The Board processes all requests for SuperFund Grants, and assorted NWTF projects and has adopted the NWTF's Five Star Program which is focused on Women in the Outdoors, JAKES, Scholarships, The Shooting Sports, and Our Hunting Heritage.
