On behalf of the Members of the West Jersey Chapter - NWTF, I would like to extend our greatest appreciation to those who attended our Wheelin Sportsmen Banquet, April 30, 2005, held at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club, in Carneys Point N.J. The event, although small, was a success. We as Chapter members will continue to grow from these experiences. In this growth we are dedicated to providing our challenged friends even greater opportunities to enjoy the rewards of our Hunting Heritage. Participation in Outreach Programs such as Wheelin Sportsmen, also allows local Chapters like ours to develop a special bond with our Communities we live in. Our Chapter also thanks the members of the Salem County Sportsmen's Club, for their continued support and donation of the grounds for our events.

We would like to thank New Jersey State Chapter President Scott Hill and Regional Director Chris Karinja for their continued support and attendance at this annual event. Working together with our State Chapter will provide the necessary resources for us to move forward in educating the general public of the core values of The National Wild Turkey Federation, and the continued growth of our Chapter.

The West Jersey Chapter - NWTF would also like to thank our friend Lt. Tod Eisenhuth, and those employees of the Bureau of Law Enforcement, who assisted with our recent Wheelin' Sportsmen endeavor. Tod arranged for our Chapter to utilize the States disabled veterans mobile blind, and also helped facilitate the process for one of our challenged members to meet the necessary requirements for possessing his first hunting license and turkey permit. Conservation Officer III Tracy Stites attended the Wheelin Sportsmen Hunt kick off introduction and safety meeting providing an overview of the New Jersey State game laws, and Hunting Safety awareness. As President of West Jersey, I would like to give a special thanks to the Chapter Members who continue to work so hard in providing our challenged friends the hunting opportunities and experiences throughout all the hunting seasons, in addition to making the Wheelin Sportsmen's Banquet a success.

Thank You All Once Again

Jack Smith
President; West Jersey Chapter - NWTF

In 2004, we had outstanding support from PSEG, Dicks Sporting Goods (Christiana, DE), the United Jersey Bowhunters, the Salem County Sportsmen's Club, and the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife. Without their support, the 2004 event may never have happened.

We are proud to announce that these great organizations have been joined by others to make this year's hunt as memorable as the first. We would also like to thank Dicks Sporting Goods of Mays Landing and add them to our list of sponsors. After turkey season, we will publish the stories of the

Second Annual Wheelin' Sportsman
Turkey Hunt
